Our School Day

Our School Day

Our school day starts at 8:50am and finishes at 3:20pm. Our EYFS Classes (Nursery and Reception) start at 9:00am and finish at 3:15pm.

Between 9:05am and 9:20am, Year 1 through to Year 6 classes come together for a daily themed assembly. On a Thursday, they have a singing assembly and on a Friday the children celebrate the achievements of others as part of their ‘Good Work Assembly’.

Between 10:30 and 10:45am, Year 1 to Year 6 classes have a morning break time in the playground.

Between 12:00pm and 1:00pm, all year groups have lunch in our school hall and a playtime in the playground. During the summer, they also have access to our large field.

Between 2:00 and 2:15, Year 1 and 2 have an afternoon playtime on our playground. Nursery and Reception join them on a Tuesday and Friday afternoon.

Afterschool, your child can take advantage of a number of clubs run by staff members and outside companies. These are advertised each half term through Class Dojo.

Before and afterschool club is run by Marple Childcare. Details of this can be found on the website through the ‘Marple Childcare’ tab.

In total, we provide 32.5 hours a week in a typical school week.
