Year 6

Hello and welcome to Year 6!

Please be aware of our school's 'Online Safety' page for quick 'What parents need to know about...' guides to support your child in staying safe whilst learning at home.

Initial activities for home learning are found below.

All further activities will be posted to Google Classrooms every other week for the week ahead.

Easter Holidays

Given the current climate, it is important to us that the children have time to rest and relax with their families. Over Easter, there will be no 'new' work set on Google Classrooms. Should the children wish to complete any incomplete work, they are welcome to do so. I have popped a few activities online for those who want a little something to keep them amused (meditations, Solvemoji, Great Eggsplorers and mindful colouring activities).
I hope you have a peaceful Easter.

Week beginning 20th April

As we use White Rose schemes of work in school, Year 6's maths activities will be set from their website. I have uploaded activities on to Google Classrooms, but they can also be accessed directly from https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-6/ along with video guidance from WRM's Maths Specialists.

Week beginning 4th May - VE Day theme

VE-Day-Introduction-KS3.pdf

Above is an activity pack contains lots of challenges linked to VE Day to commemorate the 75th anniversary on Friday 8th May. I've added some additional templates and activities below to support the children in their learning. As with previous weeks, home learning for maths can be accessed from the White Rose Maths website, and I'll upload the sheets onto Google Classrooms. If the children want additional maths support, White Rose have now aligned their resources with the BBC (access via https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/tags/zncsscw/year-6-and-p7-lessons/1)
